We would like to advise any residents not signed up for garden waste collections who are now thinking of joining that they need to wait until sales open up for the next collection year if they want to get a full 12 months service.
Recently, we’ve had some residents join our current 2021/22 service thinking they would get 12 months’ worth of collections from the date they signed up, but this isn’t how it works.
Residents who don’t already receive the collections can still join the current 2021/22 service, but need to be aware it runs until September 2, 2022, so should you join the service now you’ll only be getting around 3 months of collections.

2022/23 sales expected to open in the summer
The next full 12 months service isn’t currently available. We expect renewals for the September 2022-August 2023 service to open in the summer.
Please don’t attempt to renew before we provide you with these details.
Service charge frozen until September 2023
The cost of the garden waste collection service has been frozen at £25 per green bin per year for the next service year (September 2022-August 2023).
Darren Williams, Chief Officer Environment and Technical, said: “We’re pleased to be able to freeze the cost of the service until September 2023. The £25 per green bin per year charge will keep the cost of the Wrexham service one of the lowest in England and Wales.”
