Gwenfro school has had a busy week as pupils planted 28 trees to make an orchard close to their school.
They planted traditional varieties of apple, pear, plum, cherry and damson which were funded through the Wrexham Green Infrastructure project.
The children also did some apple pressing to toast their newly planted orchard.
Emma Broad, Ecology and Biodiversity Officer said: “We had a great time and the children really enjoyed the planting. Trees are so vital to our future and these will soon be home to all types of wildlife from birds to beetles and will enhance the area for years to come.”
