Half term high jinks

Half term is nearly here, but there is no reason to worry how you’ll entertain the children when there is so much going on.

So, take a look through the list below and get your diary ready!

Saturday, February 23 and March 2
Family Art Club
Ty Pawb
10am-12pm
Explore the galleries and develop imagination and making skills at this artist-led session for children and their families.
£2 per child

Monday, February 25
Indoor Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Ty Pawb
10am-12pm
Craft activities, a treasure hunt and a story time. Bring your own picnic or grab something from one of the great eateries on site. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Call 01978 292093 to book.
£2 per child

Messy Museum
Wrexham Museum and Archives
10.30am-12pm
Experiment with different materials to make silly paper plate faces. Age 3 and under.
£2 per baby/toddler

Monday, February 25
Feather, Feeder & Fun
Minera Lead Mines & Country Parks
1-3pm
Make a bird feeder and enjoy a fun trail around the country park, spotting birds as you go. Wear suitable footwear. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Storytime

2-2.30pm
Come and join us for a story. For children up to 4 years.

Throughout the week, pop in and enjoy craft, word searches and other activities with your children.

Personalise your own door hanger to take home. Aged 3 and above.

Storytime Spectacular
Wrexham Library

A special storytime with local author Sarah Parkinson. Sarah will read her story and there will be some activity sheets and rhymes and songs.

Micro Greenhouses

Make your own micro greenhouse and plant it up ready for spring.

Toddler story time at Ruabon Library  for ages 0-3 years.

Stori a Chan

Bilingual story time with fun rhymes and stories for you to share with your baby or toddler. A great way to develop your child’s listening, thinking and talking skills.

I Spy Trail and Gods Eye Weaving
Ty Mawr Country Park

See what you can spot in the park on our I Spry trail and have a go at God’s Eye weaving.

Friday, March 1
Nature Bingo
Minera Lead Mines & Country Parks
10.30-11.15am or 11.45am-12.30pm
Join Kate for a fun session of nature bingo, exploring the country park and learning about the wildlife. Choose which session you want to come to and come dressed to be outdoors.

Saturday, March 2
Lego Club
Wrexham Library
10-11.30am

If it is swimming you’re after, check out this list of FREE swimming times, as well as swimming lessons, junior aqua aerobics and fitness sessions.
