Erthygl Gwadd/Guest article – Eisteddfod Wrecsam

Many visitors will be visiting Wrecsam during the week of the Eisteddfod, with some visiting for the first time. Our popular decorating project, Harddu, is a chance for you to give a big welome to the Eisteddfod’s visitors through decorating your area.

We’ve prepared a ‘Harddu handbook’ full of ideas on how to get started with the work.

Once the project is ready, we kindly ask that you work with each other to place the work safely, ensuring that you have permission from the council or the landowner to place the work.

Important dates:

  • 13 June – 50 days to go – Harddu begins!
  • 5 July – Tidying day – A day to prepare and ensure your area is clean and tidy before starting on the decorating
  • 5-6 July – Harddu weekend – A great opportunity to bring the community together and decorate your area

Join our Harddu team

We’re looking for a hardworking crew to join our Harddu team and help ensure that every area is decorated to welcome the festival.

Register your interest on the Eisteddfod Website for further details.
