Residents still have a chance to help shape the future of dementia care by taking part in Wrexham’s Community Listening Campaign, but you’ve only got until the end of January to have your say and make a difference.
You can help by completing the listening survey, which is live until January 31. The survey only takes around 10 minutes to complete and asks for your opinion on a number of things relating to dementia care, including ‘what does good dementia care look like?’ and ‘what should be available to people living with dementia in this community?’.
The campaign is part of a wider Wales Listens project being supported by Improvement Cymru and Citizens UK.
“Your opinion matter – it really, really does”
Cllr John Pritchard, Lead Member for Adult Social Care, said: “Dementia affects so many people and their families in so many different ways. Talking with others and sharing these experiences helps us to not only to develop the support that already exists, but importantly it lets us see what extra support is needed as well.
“Wrexham’s Community Listening Campaign will help us to find out these important things, and we want to try and gather as much information as we can to help improve dementia care. Your opinion matters, it really, really does.”
Improving dementia care is everyone’s business, so please spare the time if you can.
