Lead Member for Environment and Transport, Cllr David A Bithell, said “It’s brilliant to know that the LED lighting is improving community safety by giving CCTV operators a very clear view.”

The Lead Member for Communities, Partnerships, Public Protection and Community Safety added that “CCTV is a great help when we are looking at community safety and the LED lighting has had the added bonus of complementing the system by brightening up the images. It’s practically daylight in some areas which is will help any prosecution following recorded incidents.”
