People visit public libraries more times the cinema, live gigs, the theatre or any of the top 10 UK tourist attractions put together – and most of them are aged 15-24!
If you are not one of the 1.4 million people in Wales who are a member of their local library, then make sure you visit yours this week – it is Libraries Week 2017 so there will be a lot going on.

This week and throughout the year in Wrexham County Borough, parents can come along to Rhos Library with their 0-3 year olds and have fun, chat and sing songs at their Chatterbox session every Friday. People wanting to introduce their children to Welsh are invited to Stori a Chan in Rhos on Wednesdays, while 8-10 year olds can get stuck in to some creative writing at the award-winning Books Inside Out in Wrexham Library every Wednesday for just 50p.
Libraries Week is the perfect chance to get to know your library and how it can be a brilliant addition to your life at any age. If you are a parent with young children, someone who needs braille or large print books, need access to the internet for a job search, need help with homework, want to learn a new language, set up a business or research your family tree – the library can help you with any of these things!
