A showcase for local talent & cultureTimetable

Together in Wrecsam has been organised by Wrexham’s Portuguese Language Communtiy group, Communidade Da Lingua Portuguesa Wrexham (CLPW) with the North Wales Multicultural Hub.

The event will feature international music and dance, children’s activities, Magi Ann, arts and crafts, plus food from around the world!

We are delighted to announce that Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru will also be part of the event, running Welsh taster lessons with Y Ganolfan Dysgu Cymraeg and presenting a special performance from Band Pres Llareggub.

The event is supported by Wrexham County Borough Council, Race Council Cymru, Welsh Government, Wrexham Council, Community Cohesion North East Wales and the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund.

A showcase for local talent & culture

Leader of the Council, Cllr Mark Pritchard said: “These superb community events have become a regular feature on Tŷ Pawb’s calendar and a favourite with local. This is where we see Tŷ Pawb at it’s very best, showcasing the wonderful talent and culture we have here in Wrexham in a welcoming, vibrant, family friendly setting in the heart of the market hall.

“We are thrilled to welcome Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru as a partner for the event; a taste of things to come as preparations continue for Wrexham to host the National Eisteddfod in 2025.

“I hope everyone in Wrexham will come and enjoy the jovial atmosphere at what promises to be a memorable day.”

Iolanda Banu Viegas said: “We, at CLPW CIC are really grateful for the funding received from Wrexham County Borough Council and UK Government SPF Keyfund for us to organise Together in Wrecsam 2024, following a very successful event in 2023.

“We’re also equally grateful for our partnerships with the National Eisteddfod, and the North Wales Multicultural Hub, Tŷ Pawb and Race Council Cymru. It’s going to be one of our biggest events in line with UK City of Culture 2029

“The event promotes all the Cultures from North Wales, language & the delicious food from around the world, Multicultural Chilldren’s Activities, Music & Dance, workshops!”
