You might have seen some of our recent work, carried out under the Townscape Heritage Scheme, which seeks to renovate some of our important, historic buildings within Wrexham town centre, repairing or reinstating their traditional features and celebrating their special character.
We hope to upgrade a number of buildings within Wrexham Town Centre Conservation Area – bringing them back into use, whilst preserving and improving those things which make them architecturally unique.
We received a £65k grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund in the summer of 2018 to develop the scheme – and are now preparing a second-round bid, which could secure £1.52million to support the physical works.
We welcome your views on how the project might work – both from members of the public who visit and use the town centre on a regular basis, and also those who own buildings within the designated area.
With this in mind, we’ll be holding a consultation event at Tŷ Pawb, from 3pm on Thursday, May 9.
Your views will help guide us on what people want from the project, as well as how this work can complement other potential projects within the town centre.
So if you want to give us your views, make sure to be at Tŷ Pawb at 3pm on Thursday, May 9.
