Award winning pianist

The 17-year-old began his piano studies in South Korea, when he was just five. He gave his debut recital in Chester in May of 2013, and has performed regularly as a soloist ever since.

He has since gone on to perform in front of huge audiences and win a number of awards – including first prize at the Scottish International Youth Piano Competition, the Blue Ribbon at the National Eisteddfod and the Chetham School of Music’s Beethoven competition.

Check out this video of Elias performing at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod for a taster of what to expect…

Elias Ackerley will hold a lunchtime recital at Gallery 2 of Tŷ Pawb from 1pm until 2pm on Thursday, July 12.

The concert is free to attend – so music lovers have no excuse!
