Having a young baby or preparing to have a baby can be a wonderful and exciting time but it can also be a bit scary and leave some parents wondering how they’re going to cope.
Does this sound familiar? Do you feel that you need some support or help or just some advice on aspects of parenting?
Don’t worry – there’s help at hand at Wrexham Family Information Service (WFIS) who are experienced in providing the type of support, advice or help that you may be looking for.
Friendly staff can help you access the support services you may need – this may be about childcare, health and well-being, child development and behaviour, parenting skills or benefit advice.
There’s a million things to think about when you’re having a baby or if you have a young child so why not give them a call or call in to see them to ask them anything you are uncertain about.
“Here to help parents”
Lead Member for Children’s Services, Cllr Andrew Atkinson, said: “WFIS has lots to offer parents who value their support and advice. They’re here to help and they enjoy meeting new and expectant parents. In fact they can help with all aspects of parenting up to the age of 19 so if you need to contact them about anything please just drop in or give them a call.”
“Where is it?”
WFIS has a drop in facility in Contact Wrexham on Lord Street. It’s open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30-12:30 and Thursdays 10:30-12:30. You can also contact them direct on 01978 292094 or drop them an email to fis@wrexham.gov.uk.
