Two major events that have taken place in Wrexham over the last year were recently shortlisted as finalists in the 2018 Go North Wales Tourism Awards.
The annual and ever popular Victorian Christmas Market and the newly branded Wrexham Food Festival came so close to winning at the awards evening but just missed out and were awarded runners up in both categories.
A BAD DEAL FROM WELSH GOVERNMENT MEANS WE’RE FORCED TO MAKE MORE CUTS. HAVE YOUR SAY…
Joe Bickerton, Tourism and Destination said: “Whilst we didn’t win being named finalists has been a huge honour and a testament to just how hard people work to bring these amazing events to Wrexham. We’ll be back next year and in the meantime we hope everyone takes advantage of the great things planned for the festive period.”
The annual Go North Wales Tourism Awards are designed to recognise the outstanding achievements of businesses and events in the North Wales Tourism Industry. The Victorian market had been nominated for best crowd puller above 7.5K and the Food Festival best crowd puller below 7.5K.
