Over at the Wrexham Wellbeing Hub, families can book sessions for their children to come and play in our sensory room.

Our sensory room features a mirror disco ball, magic rainbow tube, KopyKat memory game, Vibro Plinth, music and access to sensory toys and resources. The room also has a ceiling track hoist for those that need it.

Exclusive use of the room can be booked for a 30-minute session. For people wishing to have a longer visit, you can speak to a member of our team who can assist in extending your booking.

You can book your session a week in advance with advanced booking recommended.

We have received numerous amounts of positive feedback from families who have visited the sensory room, such as:

‘The school holidays are very difficult to navigate with children with complex additional needs, having regular free access to the Sensory room is a lifeline. My children are happy and content and I feel that I can breathe. Please consider doing this every school holiday.’ – Parent/ carer

‘What a great facility. It’s nice to have exclusive use of a sensory room it means I can tailor the lights and music to my child’s needs without worrying that I’m upsetting another child.’ – Parent / carer

‘We love visiting the Sensory room at the Wellbeing Hub, we both unwind instantly. It’s a great little room.’ – Parent / carer

You can book your place in our sensory room today by giving our Wellbeing Hub team a call on 01978 298110 or emailing them at wellbeinghub@wrexham.gov.uk. Sessions can also be booked by dropping the team a message over on the Wrexham Wellbeing Hub Facebook page.
