Last month, Wrexham Council launched consultations to reduce admission numbers at two primary schools – Penygelli Community Primary School and Ysgol Maes y Mynydd.

As part of this consultation, Wrexham Council is inviting those affected to find out more and discuss the proposals at drop-in sessions this month.

Penygelli Community Primary School

If you would like to find out more about Penygelli Community Primary School, here are the details you need:

Where: Plas Pentwyn Resource Centre, Castle Road, Coedpoeth LL11 3NA

When: Tuesday January 13, 2026, 9.30am-12.30pm

Ysgol Maes y Mynydd

If you would like to find out about Ysgol Maes y Mynydd, here are the details you need:

Where: The Stiwt, Broad Street, Rhosllanerchrugog LL14 1RB

When: Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 9.30am-12.30pm

Who is this for?

Both drop-in sessions are open to anyone who wants to find out more about the proposal and share their views in person.

The consultation will run until February 2, 2026.
