Sometimes food products are removed from sale due to missing or incorrect allergen in-formation, contamination with pathogens that could give you food poisoning, or manufacturing faults that introduce metal or plastic into the food.

Make sure you stay up to date with the latest food recalls and allergy alerts. Protect your-self and your family by signing up to the Food Standards Agency’s free service in a few easy steps:

  • Use the dedicated page to sign up
  • Tick what information you want to receive, for example food recalls, allergy alerts, or both.
  • Select if you would like to receive the alert via text message, email, or both

You will be notified if we issue an alert due to a food product being recalled. The message will provide information on what to do if you purchased the recalled product
