There’s a fabulous finale announced for the ice sculpting event taking place at Wrexham County Borough Museum on 14 December as organisers reveal they have a snow machine that will really give a festive feel to the event. The machine will be turned on at 7pm and will run until the end of the event at 8pm.

This really cool event starts at 3pm and popular woodcarver Simon O’Rourke will be creating a spectacular ice carving in the Museum Forecourt.

Sponsored by Wrexham Lager, it looks to be a really chilled out event with some great prizes to be won as well.

“Taste some delicious local food”

It will be a chance to relax and enjoy yourself as you can get some food from the Museum cafe, shop in the Museum shop and taste some delicious local food from Mrs Picklepot, Sabor Damor, Veggie Fayre Brownies and more.

The ice carving will take place live and if you can guess what the carving is going to be you will get a free bar of delicious chocolate.

Simon said “I’m really excited to be carving ice in Wrexham, it’s something that hasn’t been seen before in the town and it’s looking like it’ll be a cool show!”

Tickets are just £2.50 per adult or £5 for a family (2 adults and up to 3 children) which are available from the Museum or online at www.thisiswrexham.co.uk. There’s also a chance to win a free tour around Wrexham Brewery and 12 bottle of their lager – one for each day of Christmas.
