The Big Ask

It’s been a long time in the planning, and we have now seen the launch of The Big Ask!

The Big Ask campaign asks you ‘what you can do for the children of Wrexham?’

The campaign is run by the council’s corporate parenting team and aims to highlight the various needs of children throughout the county borough, as well as ensuring the needs of the county borough’s children are met, this is in the hands of all of us. That means councillors, council workers, and people the council work with, as well as residents – we all have a part to play.

Eisteddfod Wrecsam 2025

Over the next few weeks, we will be focusing on children who are either living in care or who, for any number of reasons, can’t live with their birth families. So, we will be asking you what you think you could do to help.

We will be looking for people who understand the needs of these children and young people, and we would like to talk to you if you are an adopter, foster carer or could provide supported lodgings. In return we can offer training, support and a small allowance to make sure you can provide the best care for our children and young people.

Look out for more stories in the coming weeks, which will give you more information and give you the chance to find out more about how you can play a role in helping the children of Wrexham achieve their full potential.
