Thinking of leaving the Armed Forces?

Are you ready to leave the Armed Forces for a change of career?

This can be an overwhelming decision to make, especially if you have been in the Armed Forces for a number of years. The good news is there is help out there to help you decide your next move, direct you to people and companies who can help and give you access to any training that you might need.

Make sure you know about changes to Covid-19 restrictions in Wales

The British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) offers a great place to find job opportunities and training in careers you may have already thought of, or ones you may never have even considered.

BFRS is a social enterprise that was created to work in support of the Armed Forces Community; supporting them by working with companies across the UK.

Cllr David Griffiths, armed forces champion, said: “Leaving the armed forces can be daunting, especially if you are unsure or feel unprepared. The BFRS website doesn’t just offer a list of current job vacancies; you can find training opportunities and careers fairs, company open days and other resources such as CV writing tips.”

Why not start by taking a look at the BFRS website to find useful contact details, information about events, job and training. You can also read their magazine New Challenge, New Beginnings to read more potential employers and stories from others in the Armed Forces community who have previously approached the BFRS for help and advice.

???? Restrictions in Wales are gradually easing. Make sure you understand what you can and can’t do ????
