Just because you work in ICT, doesn’t mean a job in London’s Silicon Roundabout is your dream :-/

An exciting projectThe skills we’re looking for…Rewarding career + work-life balanceHow to apply

If you’re a talented and creative ICT professional looking for a job that doesn’t involve battling through city congestion every morning, your next career move could be closer than you think.

As it happens, we’re looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to help look after servers and security for our schools.

Interested? Read on…

An exciting project

In July 2019 the Minister for Education in Wales announced a £50m funding programme for ICT in schools.

The Hwb Transformation Programme will change the landscape of educational technology, and if you join us, you’ll help deliver a new digital infrastructure for 70 schools in Wrexham.

It’s an exciting project that will benefit thousands of young people, and you could find yourself working on-site in a busy classroom one day, and presenting innovative solutions in the boardroom the next.

So there’s a lot of variety, creativity and job satisfaction with this role.

The skills we’re looking for…

As a senior member of the team, you’ll provide leadership and a high level of technical expertise on servers, LAN, security, backup and active directory services.

You’ll also be responsible for researching and recommending key products and technologies.

Of course, you’ll be suitably experienced and qualified. But (and this is really important) you’ll also be enthusiastic and comfortable managing your own time.

Rewarding career + work-life balance

If you live in North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire or the Wirral, you’re probably within easy travelling distance (Wrexham has really good road and rail links).

And if you’re looking for that work-life balance, there are plenty of reasons to apply.

For example, our flexible working scheme means you can step away from the typical 9 to 5 and finish early one day and late the next. It’s about delivering services and responding to the needs of our schools…but that flexibility works both ways.

You’ll also get a generous leave allowance, access to a good pension scheme and other employee benefits.

How to apply

The closing date for applications is November 8, 2019. So if you’re interested in joining ‘Team Wrexham’, go for it.

For more info, including contact details for an informal chat about the post, visit our website.
