Will it be “Cartref”, “Oriel M” or “Tŷ Pawb”?

These are the three top names announced for the new £4.5 million arts and market facility currently under construction in Wrexham town centre…and you’re invited to vote for your favourite one.

The names were chosen following a stakeholder workshop last month with representatives from across the arts and markets sector in Wrexham taking part.

GET INSTANT NEWS AND INFO FROM WREXHAM COUNCIL WITH MYUPDATES.

You can vote at Cafe in the Corner in the South Arcade, Oriel Wrecsam on Chester Street, Wrexham County Borough Museum, Wrexham Library, the Tourist Information Centre and Contact Wrexham, as well as Plas Pentwyn, Brynteg, Acton, Gwersyllt and Llay Resource Centres.

There’s also an opportunity to vote at the Wrexham Street Festival on July 29 and Play Day on August 2.

We’re also conducting an online poll.

“…unique and exciting facility…”

Cllr Hugh Jones, Lead Member for Communities, Partnerships, Public Protection and Community Safety, said: “I’m sure everyone will have a favourite and I encourage everyone to have their say on which one they prefer.

“Only that way will we have a name for this unique and exciting facility that is truly representative of the people of Wrexham.”

Voting ends at Play Day on August 2 and the outcome of the voting will be reported to the September meeting of our Executive Board.

The project is supported by funding from the Arts Council for Wales, the Welsh Government’s Vibrant and Viable Places and Wrexham County Borough Council.

Have your say and vote now.
