The Lane 2 closure on the A483 between junctions 5 and 6 are ahead of schedule and will be taken off earlier than anticipated.

To allow for the removal of temporary safety barriers and the traffic management equipment there will be two nights with full closure of both lanes, June 23 and 24, 7pm to 6am.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “I’m pleased that the trunk road agency is ahead of schedule. We appreciate this work is causing difficulty and disruption for motorists, but it’s essential to ensure major resurfacing works later in the year can go proceed.”

Traffic Wales is to begin essential works on the A483 in Wrexham between junctions 5 and 7 to increase the length of 2 central reserve crossovers together with drainage and barrier upgrades.

“It’s important that there is continued investment in our roads infrastructure to ensure this vital road link is maintained into the future.”
