A lot of adults and children rely on the council. Their quality of life depends on the expertise and care we provide.
If you work in social services, you’ll already know that.
And if you’ve got experience leading and managing teams – and you’re looking for your next challenge – you might be interested in these two jobs…
Head of Service – Corporate Parenting
We’re looking for someone who can make a real difference to children’s lives – overseeing services like adoption and fostering, and making sure that children and care-leavers who are looked-after by the council get the right support and opportunities.
This is a senior role, responsible for around 85 employees and a budget of £10.8 million.
So we need someone with plenty of leadership experience, and a sound grasp of performance and budget-management.
In return, we’ll offer excellent training and development – including access to one-to-one coaching.
There’s also generous annual leave, flexible working and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
