Would you like to be part of the first exhibition in Tŷ Pawb?
To celebrate the opening of Tŷ Pawb and ‘Is This Planet Earth?’ we are inviting members of the public to send in their photographs of Wrexham’s beautiful and diverse landscape.
From areas of outstanding natural beauty in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley to the Bersham slag heap, Wrexham has many iconic landscapes. Everybody has a different way of viewing this and we want to celebrate the beauty and the diversity in this important exhibition.
Photographs will be collected to form a large wall mounted photo-collage in the gallery. Whether you’re a first time snapper or a long-time professional photographer, we’d like you to be involved. The images can be of anywhere in Wrexham County. All we ask is they be as celebratory as possible and do not feature any people.
If you would like to be involved, please email your digital photograph as a jpeg to typawb@wrexham.gov.uk with ‘ITPE LANDSCAPE WALL’ as the email subject and your name as the file name. Printed / hard copy photographs can be brought to Oriel Wrecsam and we will take a scanned copy Images must be a minimum of 300dpi.
Cllr Hugh Jones, Lead Member for Communities and Partnerships at Wrexham Council, said: “Due to my work with both World Heritage Site Board and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership, I know Wrexham has some fantastic views to offer, and would definitely recommend the surrounding landscapes to budding photographers. There’s plenty of scenery to capture, and I’m sure the Landscape Wall will make an excellent addition to events marking the opening of Tŷ Pawb.”
The deadline for receiving photographs is 9am on Monday 19th February 2018. Please direct any enquiries to the above email address.
