We’re proud of our World Heritage Site and two new signs on key gateways into Wrexham on the A483 show just that.

The signs – one at Chirk and one at Rossett – show Telford’s awesome aqueduct at Pontcysyllte as it welcomes travellers to the area.

The signs say “Welcome to Wrexham County Borough – Home of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site”

Cllr Terry Evans, Lead Member for the Economy said: “It’s an excellent way to advertise our World Heritage site to visitors and also shows our pride for this beautiful structure.”

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for the Environment and Transport, said: “It’s important that visitors to the area are greeted by well- presented signs, it shows pride in an area and we are certainly proud of our World Heritage Site.”
