Many of you will be entering the second week of home-schooling or of teaching under very different circumstances whilst trying to keep to Government guidance on hand washing and social distancing. We know you’ve been all working very hard this week. You’re taking your roles very seriously and doing a great job.

Our Chief Executive, Ian Bancroft and Council Leader, Cllr Mark Pritchard have sent you all a message:

“We would like to thank each and every one of you who are continuing to take your responsibilities to our young people very seriously during these exceptionally difficult times. We know it’s not easy, but have no doubts that you are all doing the very best you can and please remember that we don’t expect you to follow the school routine. Do what’s right and works for you. It will help your well-being and your children will benefit from your piece of mind.”

“And to all our fantastic teaching and support staff who are at schools across the county borough we also send our thanks and gratitude. We know you are doing an excellent job supporting our essential workers and home-schooling and we have no doubts you will continue with this support for as long as it takes.”

“We don’t know how long we will be living under such restrictions but we can issue everyone that all our staff are committed to supporting you all and will be in regular contact with our schools to give advice and guidance and help wherever we can.”
