NOTE – This consultation has now closed (01.12.17)

Do you have a child in one of Wrexham’s schools?

Do you work in a school?

Since 2008, Wrexham Council has saved £52 million across all departments and in the years 2018-20 we need to cut a further £13 million.

In terms of education, this means two possible changes and we want to hear what you think of them.

TELL US HOW YOU THINK WE SHOULD SAVE £13M. FILL-IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE NOW.

Firstly the music service. This is not a statutory service, so it is proposed that the council could stop providing the funds schools use to pay for these lessons, which means if they wish to continue offering them to pupils they would pay for them from their existing budget.

The second proposal put forward is to freeze the amount of money allocated to schools for the next two years. This means that schools will be required to meet their own inflationary pressures.

Whatever your thoughts about these proposals, we want to hear from you. Make sure you complete this year’s Difficult Decisions consultation to tell us what you think about this and other money saving proposals. Don’t let other people have all the say – they may not feel the same!

Fill-in our questionnaire now, and make sure you have your say on proposed budget-savings.
