Arriva Buses Wales has announced more services that will take to the roads from Monday which means more seats will be available for school children in particular and for those wanting to travel to work or to go shopping.

The news follows a very positive meeting yesterday (17.09.2020) between Wrexham Council and Arriva Buses Wales.

Travelling by public transport is essential for lots of us and Arriva Buses Wales has been very active in ensuring that they did everything they could, as safely as they could, to get services running as quickly as possible.

Michael Morton, Managing Director of Arriva Buses Wales said: “We are very pleased we are now able to carry more passengers on routes that have been affected by the Covid-19 restrictions. Social distancing will still take place, face coverings will be required and we ask that everyone pays attention to all the current guidelines in order to keep staff and passengers safe. We will continue to work to bring more capacity where we can.”

Thanks to Arriva Buses Wales

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “We had a very positive meeting with Michael and I am pleased that from Monday even more residents will have access to public transport. I would like to thank them for acting quickly in bringing services back on our roads and ensuring that residents in Wrexham can travel safely.

Please remember that face coverings must be worn by everyone travelling by public transport except for the 11’s and those who have a disability that means they cannot use one.
