March 20 sees the Wellbeing Hub is Wrexham city centre is hosting an event that will challenge how we see ageing.

Wrexham Council and AVOW invite you to See and be Seen, a day that gives everyone a chance to learn, take action and help change the way we think about ageing.

From 10am-2pm on March 20, the Wellbeing Hub will host organisations covering a range of issues that can affect people as they age, including workplace issues, vision loss, combatting stress, improving wellbeing and reducing social isolation. The event will also highlight the huge diversity that comes with ageing and aims to inspire people, and show them that the possibilities are endless.

All of the information is free of charge and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Fancy having a go at singing for the brain, chair aerobics or terrarium building? These are also free of charge, but you do need to book and may need to bring a few materials along with you. You can find our more, and book, via AVOW’s website.

Organisations that will be there on the day include: Communities for Work Plus, Vision Support, Falls Prevention BCUHB, National Trust – free outdoor activities.  Getting outdoors at Erddig can be a great way to de-stress and improve wellbeing, Age Cymru, AVOW and the Health Improvement Team BCUHB among many others.

You need photo ID to vote at a polling station. No ID? You can apply for a free voter ID. Find out more here.
