Wrexham AFC recently launched the Wrexham is the Name campaign, marking an incredible year of local and global impact, with a red carpet celebration at Tŷ Pawb.

The campaign is designed to shine a spotlight on inspiring young people in our community who have benefitted from the programmes delivered by the Club and Foundation, sharing their stories and achievements.

As part of the event, Wrexham Mayor Cllr Tina Mannering joined friends of the Foundation for a tour of the Back-to-Back-to-Back exhibition. Open for nearly a month, the exhibition captures the Club’s meteoric rise to the Championship through the fans’ perspective and features the 2024/25 impact report.

The report highlights the breadth of initiatives delivered over the past season, including educational programmes, Street Dragons, Wrexham is the Name case studies, and much more – showcasing the Club’s commitment to creating opportunities and driving positive change.

Whilst there, guests watched all four short films in the auditorium and listened to their inspirational stories, as they were all interviewed live by Mia Roberts.

Visitors saw the amazing fan photography on the walls and screens, as well as all the impactful work the club has delivered over the past year, demonstrating how we are changing lives through the power of football.

Tŷ Pawb has also seen an increase in footfall since the Club exhibition opened, providing a great boost to the local economy.

Jamie Edwards, Head of Foundation & Community at Wrexham AFC Foundation, said: “This event was an opportunity to showcase the outstanding work delivered within the community over the past 18 months.

“It was a chance to celebrate and thank staff for their incredible efforts, and to recognise funders and partners for their support.

“Bringing everyone together in one room showed the real scale of what Wrexham AFC stands for and reminded us why this work matters so much to the city.”
