Wrexham will once again be celebrating National Playday in August.
The event will be held in Wrexham city centre on August 5, located on Queens Square and Llwyn Isaf (Guildhall field), the event will begin at 12pm and finish at 4pm.
Playday is for people of all ages from babies to grandparents, and all are invited to join in this free and playful event.
Organisations from across Wrexham will be coming together to provide a wide range of opportunities, including favourites such as the giant sandpit and junk play from previous years.
Councillor Phil Wynn, Lead Member for Education said “Wrexham playday aims to highlight the importance of children’s right to play, encouraging people to recognise the value of playing for children, their families and their local community.”
“This regular event highlights the local authorities ongoing commitment to ensuring that every child across the borough has the time, space and freedom to play.”
Bring along a playful mood, clothes that you don’t mind getting wet and messy, a picnic and enjoy Wrexham Playday 2026.
