The Tŷ Pawb Open takes place every two years at Wrexham’s multi-award winning markets, arts and community venue.
This year’s edition of the exhibition features works by over 150 artists from across the country, working in a range of mediums including paint, print and sculpture.
Help with the cost of living – claim what’s yours, reduce your bills, look after your health.
This follows a fantastic response to the open call, held earlier this year. Over 220 artists submitted more than 600 artworks for consideration.
All the featured artists and their friends and families were invited to a special evening event to officially open the exhibition.
The Judges’ Prize winner was announced during the event, selected by special guest judge, artist, Harold Offeh.
The winning artwork was Narnia, an inkjet print by Welsh artist, Squirrel Natkin.
Visitors to the exhibition are able to cast a vote for their favourite artwork. The ‘People’s Prize’ winner will be announced at the close of the exhibition in January.
All the works are for sale – ideal for some early Christmas shopping!
Cllr Hugh Jones said: “The Open exhibition is one of the most popular exhibitions on the Tŷ Pawb’s calendar. The huge range of colours, variety and creativity on show make it an accessible and enjoyable exhibition for all ages.
“The gallery really does look stunning and our thanks must go to all the artist who contributed works, and to the hugely talented team who helped organise and put the exhibition together. I would encourage anyone visiting Tŷ Pawb during the busy autumn and winter period to pop into the gallery and make the most of this wonderful space.”
