We’re looking for an Engineer (Environmental Works) to work in our Housing and Economy Department.

This is a fixed-term contract until March 31, 2022 to work under the direction of the Engineering Team Leader, co-ordinating the design and delivery of projects within our housing stock.

We look after 11,200 properties across Wrexham and our Engineer will carry out a range of environmental works.

To give a better understanding of the role, we asked Lee Roberts, our Property Investment Lead for some information and he was happy to oblige.

Lee said: “Our next Engineer will play a big part in our team and we want them to bring fresh ideas and plenty of enthusiasm. We’re looking for a problem solver, who has design solutions because this is a role where you can really make a difference.

“The successful person will be meeting with tenants and contractors, so excellent communication is a must. Overall, it’s a big opportunity to have a positive impact in the delivery of the council’s environmental improvements works. Every day is different, so if you like variety we’d love to hear from you.”
