If you have Autism or care for someone who is Autistic? Take a look at our webpage to see what’s happening in Wrexham and what support is available to you:

We have a dedicated Person Centred Planning Coordinator based in the Wellbeing Hub every Wednesday morning for a drop in session. Pop in for a chat about Autism and share your thoughts, worries or concerns with a friendly listening ear.

There are now three free short E-learning modules available on the Autism Wales website. The more people that have an awareness of Autism, the more understanding people will be and the better it will be for everyone.

We can also offer some short Awareness sessions for any teams/local businesses in the area that would like to become Autism Aware. Please email Safe Places if this is something you are interested in.

What is Autism?

Autism is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave. Although it can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life.
