Passengers are being advised of temporary changes to some bus services while resurfacing work takes place on the B5605 from July 28 – August 11.

All services travelling outbound from Wrexham Bus Station will continue to follow their normal routes. Diversions will apply to the following services travelling towards Wrexham:

  • Services 2, 2A from Oswestry, 2C from Cefn Mawr and 5 from Llangollen will serve the main road near Ruabon Station before turning onto Park Street by The Wynnstay Arms. They will then travel via the A483 between junctions 1 and 3, rejoining their normal route in Wrexham Road in Rhostyllen. A temporary bus stop will be provided on Park Street near the Wynnstay Arms.
  • Services 3, 4A, 4C and 6 from Pen-Y-Cae, Rhos, Ponciau and Johnstown will divert via Bangor Road and the A483 between junctions 2 and 3, before rejoining their normal route on Wrexham Road in Rhostyllen.

The different diversion routes are necessary because some services use double-decker buses, which cannot travel beneath the low bridge on Bangor Road.

Passengers are encouraged to allow additional time for their journeys while the temporary arrangements are in place.
