Friday 9th of December is the final day that Contact Wrexham will be based at the Lord Street location.

Are you the victim of a loan shark? Call 0300 123 311.

From Monday December 12th Contact Wrexham will be operating from The Guildhall (main entrance lobby) temporarily, until finally moving to its permanent home inside Wrexham Library (date to be announced in the New Year).

There will be no loss to service during this transition period.

Many of the services are available online 24 hours a day which remains the quickest and easiest way of access lots of services.

Contact Wrexham offers face to face appointments for the following services:

  • Blue badges
  • Council Tax
  • Housing Benefits
  • Planning
  • Companion bus passes

All published numbers are available on our website.

Cllr Beverley Parry Jones, Lead Member for corporate services said: “Other than the change of locations, we expect the transition period to have very little impact on customers wanting to visit Contact Wrexham, and once at the library, staff will be able to offer customers digital support at our bespoke self-serve area.”

Leader of Wrexham County Borough Council and Lead Member for Finance and Performance Cllr Mark Pritchard said: “The lease on our Lord Street location was due to finish towards the end of this month and a new location was sought. After spending a few weeks based at the Guildhall to ensure a continuation of service, the final location will be based at Wrexham library.

The library location is in close proximity to the Guildhall car park, making the service more accessible to people with mobility issues, as well as being free parking to blue badge holders.

Investing in, and having our Contact Wrexham service at the library will mean that we will be able to improve our overall face to face services to the community, making it the ideal location for the services permanent new home.
When it comes to the cost of living, making sure you claim all the help and support you’re entitled to could make a huge difference.
