Each day throughout recycling week (September 24-30), we published a recycling fact across our social media.

In case you missed them, here’s a quick round up…

THESE TWO SIMPLE STEPS COULD TURN YOU INTO A RECYCLING SUPERHERO…

Fact 1: Did you know that your tea bags and coffee granules can be recycled in your food waste caddy?

Fact 2: Running shoes (or any shoes) can be recycled at local recycling points.

Fact 3: Most of us in Wrexham are washing and squashing our tins, cans and plastic bottles ready for collection.

Fact 4: Last year, people in Wrexham recycled 4,000 tonnes of mixed glass.

Fact 5: Over 80% of household waste (black bag/wheelie bin) can be recycled.

Fact 6: Recycling 1 extra glass bottle will stop 4,000 cars worth of CO2 getting into the atmosphere.

Fact 7: Spectacles (or eye glasses) can be taken to your local optician for reuse overseas.
