Dynamic receives big cheque after three-peaks challenge

In May, to raise funds for Dynamic Wrexham, Shane Jones, Lee Jones, Mark Connolley and Lee Richards took on the huge challenge of climbing the highest mountains in Wales (Snowdon), England (Scafell Pike) and Scotland (Ben Nevis) all within 24 hours.

Dynamic is a local charity that provides a range of services for children and young people with disabilities from their centre in Wrexham.  They work with and support children and young people with a range of disabilities from physical, intellectual or sensory impairments, to life limiting illnesses.

In addition to the sponsorship monies of £600 from donations from some Wrexham Council staff and Councillors, a further £1,107 was raised by Dynamic from the raffling of the signed Cymru shirt kindly donated by FAW President Steve Williams, giving a grand total of £1,707.

Councillor Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council, presented the cheque alongside Mark and said: “This is such a huge achievement and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated by Dynamic, which does fantastic work and offers an invaluable service to young people and their families in the area.  Shane, Lee, Mark and Lee did an amazing job in completing the three-peaks challenge”.
