Please be aware that the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency will be undertaking essential maintenance and safety works on the A483 and A5 week starting on Monday, 22 June, for 3 weeks.

The works will take place from the County Boundary near Rossett (junction 7) and the County Boundary near Gledrid roundabout.

Works will include verge maintenance, drainage works, inspections and litter picking during night time lane closures and slip road closures between 18:00 and 06:00 to minimise disruption to road users. These works need to be carried out to maintain the condition of the carriageway, protect the safety of the travelling public and to identify significant defects to mitigate the risk of future unplanned closures.

Motorists are being advised that delays will be minimal but please be considerate to our key workers and allow extra time for your journey.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “I welcome the announcement as part of our programme of maintenance and I ask all motorists using this road allow plenty of time for their journey.”
