Were you in town this weekend to visit the Food Festival? If you were you probably saw for yourself just how many visited and gave it the thumbs up, along with the free parking for the weekend.

Organisers have confirmed well over 5,000 people attended and – even though the weather wasn’t brilliant – they all had a great time.

Not one to be left out our Mayor, Cllr Andy Williams also visited and had the honour of cutting the ribbon to officially open the event, alongside Cabinet Secretary for Energy, Planning and Rural Affairs, Lesley Griffiths, AM.

The Mayor had a great time touring the exhibits and took time to speak with visitors and stall holders alike.

The Mayor said: “It clearly was a very well organised and enjoyable event and I hope to see it repeated next year. Thanks to everyone involved and to everyone who took the time to visit over the weekend.”
