It is believed mid-January is the time that some of us are likely to struggle with or give up our New Year resolutions. If you made a resolution that was budgeting, health or fitness related then the free information and support we can access via Care First may help.

Well-being advice is regularly updated on the Care First Zest website and mobile app. This is interactive and you can select and set individual goals, follow recipes and programmes. You can undertake well-being assessments including sleep, resilience, caffeine and water intakes. Here are the log in details so you can take a look:

Care First provide an information service and support from advisors who can help with financial, legal and welfare issues giving quick access to citizen advice trained advisors who can answer practical queries.  This could relate to:

  • Budgeting and financial advice if there has been increased spending over the Christmas period
  • Advice regarding your rights with regard to purchases you have made
  • Legal advice due to relationship issues

Freephone 0800 174 319

Confidential emotional and counselling support can also be accessed via the above telephone number, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Secure online messages can also be exchanged with a Counsellor via the Care First Lifestyle website from 8am to 12 midnight, 7 days a week.

It is suggested employees save the Freephone number in their mobile phones in case this service needs to be accessed when we are away from the workplace.

The Lifestyle website also provides interactive health and well-being programmes, articles and webinars on varied subjects.  Topics include the benefits of Dry January and, blood pressure awareness.  Current webinars include improving your diet and when relationships go wrong:
