A new free pre-loved school uniform shop is now open at the Wrexham Wellbeing Hub, offering families a sustainable and cost-effective way to prepare for the new school year.

The shop will be available until September, providing a valuable resource for the local community.

The initiative allows parents and students to access gently used school uniforms, supplies, and accessories at no cost. This environmentally friendly approach encourages reuse, reduces waste, and supports families facing financial challenges.

Organisers extend a heartfelt thank you to the generous schools that have donated items, the dedicated staff at the Wellbeing Hub for their ongoing support, and to our officer Ryan Edge, whose exceptional organisational skills and hands-on assistance have been crucial to the project’s smooth operation.

The shop invites all local families to visit the Wellbeing Hub to explore available items and contribute to the community effort.

Cllr David A Bithell, Deputy Leader and Climate Champion, said: “The pre-loved shop helps us to reduce unnecessary waste, lower carbon emissions, and support the local community. We encourage families to make use of the shop ahead of September.”

Cllr Beverley Parry-Jones, Anti-Poverty Champion, said: “This is a wonderful initiative that will help families in need of some extra support to get the things they need for the next school year. Where you can, please donate any items you no longer need to support the community.”

The Wellbeing Hub is open from 9am-4pm Monday-Thursday, 9am-2pm on Fridays and closed on weekends.
