The no-contact games on offer include simple circuits, rugby rounders and walking rugby.
The weekly course runs until November, and anyone interested is welcome to jump in at any time.
The course takes place as part of Get Out, Get Active – a women-focused series of activity and fitness sessions.
First sessions are free, with a cost of £2 per session thereafter.
Cllr Andrew Atkinson, Lead Member for Youth Services and Anti-Poverty, with responsibility for Leisure, said: “This series of activities would be ideal for any women who might want to take out in something as high-octane and energetic as rugby, but without all of the associated bumps, scrapes and bashes.
“Anyone interested should certainly get in touch with Active Wrexham.”
To book, or for any other enquiries, contact the Active Wrexham team by phone on 07976581243 or by e-mail at activewrexham@wrexham.gov.uk.
