Our Housing and Economy department is looking to appoint 10 Driver/Building Labourer Operatives…are you interested in joining our hardworking team?

We’re a forward thinking, innovative department whose mantra is “Do It Once and Do It Right”. If you love being part of a team, have the right attitude, experience and thirst for a challenge you’d fit in well here.

About the role

This post involves some driving but mainly consists of labouring work, helping to maintain our 11,200 council homes.

Got some building skills? Can you drive? Take a look at this job…

We need our operatives to be flexible to assist our different teams as the workload demands. You’ll be expected to give labouring support to our plastering, bricklaying, joinery, plumbing and electrical trades.

Some of the things you might be tasked with include removing plaster from walls and ceilings, removing fixtures and fittings, clearing vacant properties as well as other general labouring.

It can be hard work at times, but these roles will help keep you fit. If you have some experience, along with a full driving licence and you’re up for the challenge, please get in touch!
