Make sure you get your diaries out…half term is fast approaching and we have got some really great events for you!

Country parks

Professional BMX Coaching Day
October 29, 10am-3pm
Ponciau Banks Country Park
Come and learn how to tackle the track and improve your skills. Meet at the bowling pavilion at Ponciau Banks Country Park. Booking essential as places are limited, call 01978 822780.

Spooky Spoons
October 31, 1.30-3.30pm
Alyn Waters Country Park
Make a halloween spoon puppet. No need to book, just drop in.
Suitable for all ages.

Leaf Mobiles
November 1, 1.30-3.30pm
Ty Mawr Country Park
Use autumn leaves to make a beautiful mobile. No need to book!
Suitable for all ages.

2pm Magic: the Gathering (Tournament) – suitable from 9 years and up. Booking advised. Please contact the library.

2.30-3.30pm The Dog’s Trust with Bethan & Flo
3.30-4pm Paws to Read with Elliot the Tiger

November 1
3pm Crafty Corner – sticking, gluing or colouring a bonfire/autumn theme. Unsupervised event.

November 2
2pm Knit and Natter
3pm Lego group – have fun constructing using Lego
4pm Computer drop-in – informal advice session

Wrexham Library

Craft and story session with Menter Iaith. Contact maiwenn@menterfflintwrecsam.cymru or 01352 744040 for more information.
£1 per child

There will be loads of fun to be found in Wrexham Library over the half term including Winnie the Witch and Room on the Broom activity sheets and masks to make, along with some great books to borrow from the spooky display. All activities are free and for all ages, taking place all week. Just drop in and join in the fun.

Rhos Library

October 31
2-3pm

Gwersyllt Community Resource Centre

October 29, from 2pm. Author Marie Anne Cope coming to talk about her writing and to read one of her adult scary stories. All welcome.

November 1, 10.30–11.30am. Spooky Paws! Primary school children are welcome to join the Dogs Trust in the library for fun, spooky activities and learn how to be ‘dog smart’.

November 1, 2pm. Movie afternoon! £1 for refreshments – popcorn and drink.

Also, you can drop in any time throughout the week and paint a rock for the centre’s remembrance display. Adults and children welcome.
