We know everyone is concerned about the current situation with Covid-19 and how it will affect us all in the run up to Christmas and through the winter months.

There’s also another concern that we need to keep in everyone’s mind – Climate Change. It’s affecting all of us and we are committed to doing all we can to become a carbon neutral organisation.

Protect the people you love. Download the Covid-19 NHS app.

What we do now will set out the infrastructure for future generations to build on and become a blueprint for protecting and improving our living and working environments as new technologies are developed and old ones improved.

But we need your help finalise our Decarbonisation Action Plan which will help us move our plans forward.

The Action Plan sets out what we’ve already done to reduce emissions and what we’re planning to do in the coming years and now is the opportunity to have your say on it.

It only takes a few minutes and will help us ensure we have a sustainable, effective and achievable plan in place.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “We’ve already undertaken a huge amount of work to reduce our carbon emissions including opening a solar farm, installing electric chargers in car parks, installing solar panels on suitable housing stock and our own buildings and undertaking largescale environmental improvements by planting woodlands and wildflower meadows across the county borough.

It’s clear we can do more and we’re encouraging residents, organisations and businesses to take part in order to ensure we are working on the most achievable and sustainable options.

It only takes a few minutes to fill in and we’d really appreciate your views.
