With the approach of the Twelfth Night, lots of people will be busy taking down their Christmas decorations.

But, did you know that you can use council services to properly dispose of your real (non- artificial) Christmas trees?

Trees can be cut up into small pieces and placed in green recycling bins or can be taken to any of the three household recycling centres.

Cllr David A. Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “We hope everyone takes advantage of our facilities and recycling services and disposes of their Christmas trees responsibly”

• Bryn Lane Household Waste Recycling Centre is open 8am – 8pm every day of the year apart from Christmas Day
• Plas Madoc and The Lodge Household Waste Recycling Centres are open 9am – 4pm
