As part of the Get Out Get Active (GOGA) programme ladies in Wrexham are being offered the chance to take part in fun and free sporting sessions that are taking place at local leisure and activity centres from Monday 22 January for 10 weeks.

The programme is funded by the Spirit of 2012 which is the London 2012 legacy charity. Established by The Big Lottery Fund to fund community projects across the UK that bring people together.

During the 10 weeks at Queensway Stadium ladies can take part in gym sessions between 6.30 and 8.30 which includes a free induction and there’s also and opportunity to take part in the 0-5k Walk to Run sessions between 7.30 and 8.30. You’ll need to book in advance to confirm your place on 01978 355826.

Eisteddfod Wrecsam 2025

Gwyn Evans in Gwersyllt is offering gym sessions between 7.00 and 8.00 and ladies only swimming between 8.00 and 9.00. You can contact the centre on 01978 269540.

At Waterworld in the town centre there’s gym sessions between 6.30 and 8.30 and ladies only swimming between 8.00 and 9.30. You can contact Waterworld on 01978 297300.

Chirk leisure and activity centre is offering an Aquafit programme between 7.15 and 8.00 pm and Clubbercise between 7.30 and 8.15 pm. To contact them telephone 01691 778666.

All the activities are available to ladies in Wrexham regardless of physical ability.
