Wrexham businesses are being urged to apply for a new grant funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Wrexham Council has opened applications for the 2025 Wrexham Business Grant scheme, which aims to further boost the local economy.
The scheme is open to qualifying pre-start and existing small and medium sized enterprises in Wrexham County Borough.
Grants range from £2,000 to £10,000, and can be used to reimburse businesses for up to 50% of costs for eligible capital or revenue expenditure.
This can include things like new machinery and equipment, factory vehicles such as forklift trucks, IT and telecom hardware, and marketing materials.
Visit Wrexham Council’s website for more info and to apply for a grant.
Applications must be submitted by 12 noon on Tuesday, July 1.
Councillor Nigel Williams, Lead Member for Business, Economy and Tourism, said: “This is a great opportunity for small and medium businesses in Wrexham, as well as new enterprises that haven’t started trading yet.
“If your business is based in the county borough, then please take a look at the eligibility criteria to see if you qualify – but it’s important to act now, or you could miss the boat.
“Remember that your business must have the funds to pay for the work initially, as the grants can only be used to reimburse up to 50% of the cost afterwards.”
Successful applicants must meet at least two of the key set objectives, and must complete their project and claim their grant by January 31, 2026.
All applications will be assessed in terms of eligibility, value for money and outputs achieved.
