COME SAY HELLO

On Saturday 15th July (between 10am and midday) Ysgol Llan-y-pwll will offer a warm welcome to everyone in the community to come and view the school.

As well as being able to tour the school there will be a variety of activities to entertain the children whether they speak Welsh or not, they can come and join in the fun (and perhaps pick up a few new words and phrases)

Timetable of events

10:10—10:40 Mudiad Meithrin

10:50—11:20 Menter Iaith

11:30—12:00 Games with the Urdd

Welsh language education

School acting Headteacher Rhiannon James said: “This is an invitation to everyone in the community to come and take a look at our school. “We will also be on hand to go through the benefits of bilingualism and a Welsh language education.”

Lead member for education, Cllr Phil Wynn said: Ysgol Llan y Pwll is Wrexham’s newest Welsh language school and everyone involved is proud of its addition to the community. From September, we will have nursery, reception and Year 1 pupils at the school. The school is set to grow year on year as the older pupils move up ( and we have an influx into reception and year 1 pupils.) Attending the school open day on Saturday will offer a great opportunity to explore what is on offer at Ysgol Llan-y-pwll, as well as explore the benefits of a Welsh language education for your child.
