On December 5 Wrexham Museum will be welcoming ice carver extraordinaire Simon O’Rourke for three spectacular events taking place around the town centre.

  • A spectacular festive treat in the town centre
  • How your business can get involved

Simon O’Rourke from Wrexham is a fantastic world renowned chain saw carver and also has lots of experience carving ice sculptures.

The event was a great success and we would like to repeat it in 2019 only bigger and better as part of the Victorian Christmas Market, one of the town centres most popular events attracting 20,000 visitors.

IF WE GET A BAD SETTLEMENT, WE’LL HAVE TO LOOK AT FURTHER CUTS. HAVE YOUR SAY…

We are offering the chance for your company to get involved with this fantastic event!

A spectacular festive treat in the town centre

Follow the ice carving trail and watch Simon carry out his amazing live ice carve at Work station 1 near to St Giles church and Victorian Market (5pm-6pm).

Work station 2 will be at the junction of Hope Street and here you can pick up more clues for the trail and view more exciting live ice carving approx (6pm-7pm).

Then it’s on to the Museum for the main event (7pm-9pm ). Relax and enjoy watching live giant ice carving on the forecourt plus lots more.

Sing some carols with the school choirs and join in the Christmas spirit with festive refreshments from our café. Sample some festive local food specialities, do your Christmas shopping in the museum shop and complete the ice trail. Discover what the ice carving is…a great photo opportunity!!

How your business can get involved

Sponsorship for this event can vary enormously – get in touch with us for more details.

Sponsors will be featured prominently in press, publicity, photo opportunities and social media and will also feature prominently on the day of the event.

To discuss any aspect of this sponsorship please contact Karen Harris 01978 297467 karen.harris@wrexham.gov.uk or Simon o Rourke 07886 881815 simon@treecarving.co.uk

If we get a bad settlement, we’ll have to look at further cuts.Have your say.
